Accidents, there are a lot of accidents. Killings, there are a lot of killings. Love, there is barely any left. Hatred, there is hatred in abundance. But Nigeria, this is still our country.
A great evil has slowly been seeping into our land and now it is more present than ever. A great terror has taken over Nigerians that no one feels safe anymore. This great evil has gathered forces of hatred that causes a man to do harm to his neighbor, forces of depression that make life seem so unbearable to the point that one takes his own life and the forces of death that reduce the human population one by one. These forces make us turn our backs on God and turn our hearts towards fear. And this fear envelopes our hearts so that we listen to the flesh instead of The Spirit.
We say that this is the sign of the times and that the end is fast approaching but why aren’t we working faster? Should we just watch as bodies who lack the knowledge of Christ drop to the ground without trying our very best to spread the word of salvation? Why aren’t we making greater efforts to show that there is a God who can save us even in death?
It is not too much for us to handle. All we need to do is jump and have faith. The word of God says in Luke 17:6 “He replied, “If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘ Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it will obey.” So I say, let us join hands in combined faith and uproot our own mulberry tree.
